Dates: 15th to 22nd July / 2020
Join us for a five days photo adventure in Palouse Washington, July is a prime time for the rolling fields of shades of Green, Golden and Brown of the harvest time. This area of Washington is popular among landscape photographers, the landscape is lied out with Patterns and lines, amazing clouds with blue skies, this is a great subject for creating drama and contrast in your images. Gavriel Jecan and Libby Pfifer will be with you to help you with your composition and any technical issues you may have. During this trip there will be both in the fields and class instruction ending up with a image critique. Will keep the workshop small to be able to provide one on one instruction in the fields with everyone of you.
Day 1. July 23rd – Arrive in the evening , meet and greet fallow by a short introduction to what will do for the next 4 days.
Day 2. July 24th – Breakfast ( On your own ), fallowed by a two hour Classroom Lecture ( Introduction to how to create images in the Palouse area and location introduction. ). Lunch at one of the local restaurants ( On your own ). Afternoon field session. Locations to be announced.
Day 3.July 25th – Breakfast (on your own), 9 am Provide 5 images to Gavriel or Libby from previous shooting day.. 9:30 AM Group critique and review. 12:00 -1:30 PM Lunch, 1:30 to 5:30 Field session, 6:00-7:30 PM Dinner ( No host dinner ) 7:30 -9:00 PM field session ( if the weather cooperates then will do a night photography ).
Day 4. July 26th – Early morning field session – Steptoe Butte, Breakfast, Stop by the old cars and barns. 12:30 to 2 PM Lunch and back in the field for an afternoon session.Dinner ( No host dinner.)
Day 5. July 27th – Breakfast on your own. 9:30 AM Provide 6 images to Gavriel or Libby . 10:00 AM Group critique and review, participants are encourage to bring 6 images photographed during this workshop. 12:30 PM end of workshop.
Photographing locations: During our drive through Palouse, will stop to many location, some tourist and some not, including the Steptoe Butte, Old car collection, abandoned barns and will spend time exploring the scenic byway that takes us through the heart of the agriculture fields. Our schedule will be flexible, will choose our shooting location based on lighting and weather conditions.
Registration and Cancelation Policy: You can pay the workshop fee in full or the specific deposit to secure your spot on this workshop. The deposit is non refundable. After paying the deposit , the remaining balance is due in 60 days before the workshop starts. If you cancel 60 days before the workshop starts, then your payment will be refund minus the deposit. If canceling 30 days before the workshop, your deposit and full registration is non-refundable. If someone comes in and fills your spot then we will fully refund your deposit and registration fee.
