11 Days/ 10 Nights Myanmar Photo tour
Myanmar a land of beauty and cultural diversity with traditional villages, friendly locals, and unique history, during this tour you’ll receive daily photographic instruction from Gavriel and will have two sessions of images to review, to make sure you are going back home with great photographs. The tour will take us through the usual destination, but in each location will visit new territories, so even if you went to Myanmar with me, will be going and seeing new things.
We have created this tour to accommodate couples where one of the partners is a photographer and the other more of a traveler for the experience.
Day 1- Nov.3rd: Arrive in Yangon at International Airport. Welcome and transfer to the Hotel. Yangon is changing. Many new modern buildings are appearing almost every week, but the city is still a decaying masterpiece for street photography, providing a colorful back ground to the main subjects.
In the afternoon we start out tour with a visit to the 210 foot long Chauk Htet Kyi Reclining Buddha, dating from 1905. We’ll also visit the Buddhist novice school close to the Buddha image. From here will depart for the Sin Oodan Jetty by the river where will photograph the boat taxi crossing the river and sunset over the river. After our photo session will proceed to the restaurant for welcome dinner, back to the hotel for the night.

Day 2 – Nov.4th Fish market, China Town, Shwedagon pagoda.
Will start the day pretty early with a visit to the local fish market fallowed by the China town district street market. Back to the hotel for Breakfast and rest. Today will have a late lunch at Golden duck restaurant. fallowed by a visit to the 2500 old Shwedagon Pagoda with over 60 tons of gold. Sunset and late evening photography.
Dinner and return to the hotel to pack and rest. Meals included: ( B,L,D,)
Day 3: Nov. 5th Fly to Bagan.
Early morning transfer to the airport for the flight to Bagan. Arrive Bagan and visit Sulamani temple on the way to the restaurant. Lunch at BBB restaurant . After lunch will check in to the hotel and prepare for the afternoon photo session. Firs will visit some of the temples before will climb on the Tayokepyay temple for sunset. Dinner and rest. Day 4 – Nov. 6th: Sightseeing in Bagan. Early morning 5:00 a.m. drive to photograph the morning alm performed by Buddhist monks and novices, then back to the hotel for breakfast. After Breakfast will drive to the Shrizigon pagoda to photograph the walk way and the temple. Lunch . Evening visit few villages to photograph the daily life and then photograph stupas at sunset. Day 5 – Nov 7th: Bagan – Early Morning Balloon ride over Bagan historical site ,After balloon ride back to breakfast. After breakfast will visit a family lacquerware workshops. Lunch and Back to the hotel to download and rest before we return back in the field to visit and photograph. In the afternoon will visit the Minanthu village and photograph the ox-carts, livestock coming back to the village and the sunset. Dinner and back to the hotel. Day 6- Nov.8th: Bagan to Mandalay – After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight to Mandalay. will arrive in Mandalay by midmorning. Drive to Mahagandayon monastery to photograph over one thousand buddhist monks gathering for lunch. Mandalay region is known as the center of Buddhism in Myanmar with more than 600 monasteries and nunneries. Proceed to Mandalay for lunch at Thai restaurant. After lunch will Check in to the hotel. Afternoon sightseeing: Drive to Amarapura to photograph girls with thanaka and the Taung Thaman lake with famous teak bridge, U-Bein bridge. Back to Mandalay for diner and hotel for the night. Day 7- Nov.9th: Mandalay – early morning depart for the Vegetable market, Back for breakfast and back in the field to photograph the stone carving street. Lunch and back to the hotel. Afternoon sightseeing: Drive to the market near the River, photograph the lifestyle along the river and end up the day with fisherman fishing with nets at sunset. Dinner and back to the hotel to pack and sleep. Meals included: ( B,L,D,)
Day 8 – Nov.10th: Mandalay airport to fly to Heho. Early morning drive to the airport for the flight to Heho. Arrive Heho and drive to Nyaungshwe . From here will take the boat ride to the Resort on Inle Lake. Check in the hotel and have a break. Lunch at hotel. In the evening will photograph the fisherman in front of the sun. Back to the resort for dinner . Meals included: ( B,L,D,)
Day 9 – Nov.11: Inle Lake -Early morning sunrise with the fishermen and back to the Hotel for the breakfast. Today will travel by boat to the Floating gardens, Kaylar village and well known Padaung long neck families. Lunch at local restaurant. after lunch will visit the silk and Lotus weavings factory. Back to the hotel. In the late afternoon will go out again to photograph fisherman on the lake at sunset. Back to the hotel for dinner.Meals included: ( B,L,D,)
Day 10 – Nov.12: Inle lake to Yangon. Heho – Yangon (By flight) Early morning boat ride to Nyaungshwe. Drive to Heho and fly back to Yangon. will arrive in the afternoon, grab lunch on the way to the hotel. Check in the hotel, In the evening will decide if we want to return to the Shwedagon pagoda for the second time or one of the port Jedi. Farewell dinner. Meals included: ( B,L,D,)
Day 11 – Nov.13th: Yangon Departure Home –
Yangon Departure – after breakfast will be transfer to the airport for the flights home. Meals included: ( B,)
Tour cost per person: $4860.00 (Based on twin or double bed sharing room) based on 6-8 pax

We strongly suggest to our participants to consider this tour more than a photography tour, but also a cultural tour. Please be respectful to the locals will photographing or interacting with them, the Burmese people are some of the nicest in the world and we don’t want to disrespect them when we photograph, if someone say no to taking photos , please respect their privacy and don’t take that photo.
